For older players, our club has an established college placement program. We help players and families navigate the recruiting process and connect with opportunities at the collegiate level.

SoCal Reds FC is a nonprofit based in Irvine, California, dedicated to developing young players both on and off the field. We combine technical and tactical soccer training with life lessons centered around our core values of Ambition, Commitment, Dignity, and Unity. Our holistic approach prepares players for success in soccer and life, creating unique opportunities and extraordinary experiences for every participant.

No. Registering for a tryout evaluation is completely free. There is no cost or commitment to attend.
Yes. We evaluate players at all levels. If your child is ready to make the transition to competitive soccer, an evaluation is the right first step. Our coaches will assess their readiness and place them appropriately.
We are accepting evaluation requests for boys and girls U6–U19 across all competitive levels. Extended evaluations are available on a rolling basis — contact us for availability in your child's specific age group.
We'll be honest about it. If a competitive placement isn't the right fit at this time, our coaching staff will walk you through the options — including our developmental and recreational programs that can serve as a stepping stone toward competitive play.
Evaluations take place within a standard training session — typically 60 to 90 minutes. Your player will train alongside other players in their age group.
Teams form on a rolling basis as evaluations are completed. There is no hard registration deadline, but roster spots are limited. The earlier you register, the better your child's chances of securing a spot for the upcoming season.
We offer a full player pathway — from entry-level competitive and Academy teams all the way up to MLS NEXT, the highest level of youth club soccer in the country. Players are placed based on their evaluation and can advance within the club as they develop.
